AP govt. enhances package for three types of treatment in Aarogyasri for Eluru incident victims
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stood by the victims of mysterious disease in Eluru of West Godavari district. The state government has decided to increase the treatment time for epilepsy patients from three days to five days. At present, the package, which costs Rs 10,000, is enhanced to Rs. 15,688. He said that besides raising it to 15,688, 8 types of blood tests will be done for everyone. In addition, the decision was taken to increase the duration of epilepsy treatment in all network hospitals across the state from three days to five days.
Similarly the existing package for young children is increased from Rs. 10,262 to Rs. 12,732. It also includes 6 types of blood tests. All network hospitals charge Rs. 900 per day for epilepsy patients who are treated for more than five days and Rs. 2 thousand new package added.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke to Eluru officials in a video conference. To this extent, CM Jagan asked the officials about the current situation in Eluru and spoke to a team of NIN scientists who had already collected the samples and inquired about the details. Asked to give a quick report on the incident. NIN scientists said they would give a preliminary report by Friday. CM Jagan spoke to visiting central medical experts in Eluru today. Samples were collected on this occasion, primarily to discuss the AIIMS report that had already arrived.
As many as 585 people have been admitted to Eluru Government Hospital with illness. Doctors have discharged 503 people as their health is stable. Another 82 people are being treated at a government hospital and 32 were shifted to Vijayawada and Guntur for better medical treatment.
