AP Govt going ahead with Polavaram reverse tenders

Amaravati: The state government is going ahead with the reverse tendering in completing the remaining works in the Polavaram Irrigation Project. As a significant development, Irrigation and Water Resources department has been uploading the tender documents on the website on Thursday.

The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government has terminated the existing contractor Navayuga Engineers Company Ltd from the Polavaram headworks and Hydro Electric Project works. Since the case related to the Hydro Electric Project in the Courts, the government withheld the notification given for that project. But, the government has been moving ahead with the Polavaram head works for reverse tendering, sources in the secretariat informed.
