AP govt must give clarity on state capital: Kanna Lakshminarayana
Guntur: Ryots under the banner of Amaravati Rajadhani farmers met the BJP State President Kanna Lakshminarayana at his residence at Kannavarithota in Guntur city on Friday and expressed fears over the statements of Minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyanarayana, Vijayawada MP Sai Reddy on shifting of the state capital. The farmers felt that there is no need to shift the capital and what is the need to shift the state capital from Amaravati. They demanded the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to make a statement on the state capital. They also submitted a memorandum to Kanna Lakshminarayana.
Speaking on this occasion, Kanna Lakshminarayana said, "BJP is against the shifting of the state capital from Amaravati. I demand the government to announce its policy on state capital. I will tour the state capital very soon and hold a meet with the farmers who gave their lands to the farmers. So far, the government has spent Rs.3,000 crore for the construction of the state capital. It is not correct to create confusion on the state capital and said the farmers had sacrificed their valuable lands."
