AP Govt releases health bulletin, warns of cases against lockdown violations

Jagan Mohan Reddy government, which announced the lockdown of the state on Sunday has released the health bulletin on the latest situation in the state. According to the bulletin, six cases have been reported across the state so far of which a person from Nellore district is reportedly recovering from the virus. Officials said the screening would continue for those returning from abroad. The health department officials said that the samples of suspects were sent to labs for confirmation.

Officials, on the other hand, say that those from abroad must be in self-isolation asked them not to come out under any circumstances.

The unannounced curfew is expected to continue till 31st of this month with shut down of public and private transport along with non-essential commercial establishments and shops. However, the government has lifted the curfew for all those that dispense essential commodities such as groceries, milk, vegetables, and medicines and advised the people not to leave their houses in groups.

While with the central government has ordered strict action against those who violate the lockdown rules, the DGP Gautam Sawang warned of cases under Indian Penal code such as Section 188, 269, 270 and 271 on violates. On the other hand, the state government is said to be enforcing the epidemic disease 1897 act in the state to curtail fast-spreading coronavirus in the state.
