AP govt to allocate 120 acres to Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd
Amaravati: The AP government has accepted to allocate 120 acres of land to the Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd to establish an electric bus manufacturing unit in Anantapur district. The company expressed willingness to invest around Rs 1000 cr. in this project.
Addressing at a press conference at Secretariat, the Minister for Industries Mekapati Goutham Reddy explained that Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd will commence manufacturing of electric buses in Anantapur district, as they agreed on Thursday.
He revealed that the company will invest at least Rs 1000 cr. The company would generate direct and indirect employment to more than 3000.
Goutham Reddy said that the government is giving nominal incentives to the company. Explained that only tax reimbursement, power subsidies and water to be provided to the company.
Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd is a private company incorporated on 04 August 2004, Kogatam Srinivas Reddy is Managing Director.
Meanwhile, he also reacted on the Reliance investments in the state and said that the government suggested them to increase the volume of investments in the state. The government will provide alternative lands to the Reliance in Tirupati. The TDP government gave lands to the company without providing basic amenities.
