AP Grama Sachivalayam exams to begin from September 1
Amaravati: The Panchayati Raj Commissioner Girija Shankar said the applications for the recruitment of prestigious Grama/Ward Sachivalayam posts had received tremendous response all over.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, Girija Shankar said that 1,33,000 Grama Sachivalayam posts would be filled across the state and 22.73 lakh candidates applied for these jobs. The last date for the online submission of the application has closed by Sunday (August 11).
She said after completing the retirement, 11 members staff would be working in each village secretariat and about 31,000 candidates are recruited from the municipal department.
Girija Shankar said that the examinations for the retirement of Grama/Ward Sachivalayam jobs will commence from September 1 and will continue for a week. She clarified that the questionnaire is available in two languages, and technical subject papers will remain in only English medium.
On the first day, nearly 12,50,000 candidates are expected to attend the exam, for which 6,000 test centers are arranged across the state. She said CCTV and video coverage would be taken to prevent any malpractices at the exam center.
Municipal department commissioner Vijayakumar said the exams for the recruitment for village Sachivalayam posts are conducted in alliance with Municipal and Panchayati Raj departments.
He said already 10 percent weightage is given to the employees working in various departments and candidates are told to reside wherever they get the posting. The village/wards will be allocated based on the preferences of the candidates.
The hall tickets can be downloaded from August 22nd. The 150 questions will carry 150 marks, and Negative marks process is also implemented. For every four incorrect answers, the candidate will lose one mark.
Vijay Kumar has warned that if anyone cheats candidates regarding the posts, then the criminal cases will be filed against them.
