AP High Court directs state and central govt's to file counters on three capitals, adjourns to March 17

The High Court on Wednesday directed the central and state governments to file counters with the full details on the evacuation of High Court from Amaravati and postponed the next hearing to March 17. The petitions have also filed challenging the decentralization bill, the CRDA withdrawal bills and the reports of the GN Rao Committee and Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) and the High Power Committee. The hearing on these lawsuits was postponed to March 30.

Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari, Justice Justice Lekku Venkata Seshasai and Justice Mallalovu issued a three-member Tribunal Bench. In the wake of the confusion in the various types of lawsuits filed in the capital case, the bench instructed the registry to separate the lawsuits.

Meanwhile, a number of lawsuits have been filed in the High Court challenging the GO issued by the government on the 25th of this month allocating 1,250 acres in the capital for the housing scheme. The Tribunal Court has been heard on Wednesday. Advocate General Sriram started the arguments on behalf of the government as the lawyers' arguments for the petitioners ended. The court adjourned the hearing to Thursday as the court proceedings ended.
