AP High Court fumes on YSRCP over painting the govt buildings in party colours
The Andhra Pradesh High Court has given a rude shock to the YSRCP government headed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy by making severe comments on the administration. The high court finds fault on government for the painting the Grama Sachivalayam buildings with party colours and also the introduction of English Medium in Municipal Schools from Class 1 to 6.
"Painting government offices in party colours will come under the violation of rules and what the Election Commission has been doing while the Municipal Elections are fast approaching?" High Court fumed. HC ordered the officials to remove the paints within a week or so.
While speaking about the introduction of English Medium in government-run schools, the high court has said that it is against the Supreme Court order. "If Government proceeds further, the expenditure incurred for the printing of books and conduction of training classes will be collected from the concerned Authorities," HC asserted.
On the other hand, the opposition parties have alleged the YSRCP government of spending Rs 1,500 crore to paint Panchayat offices in party colours.
