AP needs a safe driver

Anantapur/ Kadapa: Chief Minister of a state is like driver of a vehicle. Just as the life of passengers is dependent on the driver's ability, the future of Andhra Pradesh rests in the hands of the Chief Minister. It's time for people to assess who is a safe driver and who steered the state from zero to a level of having been put in a fast-forward mode in development, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing party workers during his whirlwind tour of Rayalaseema, Naidu said people should realise the dangerous game that is being played by "Jodi of three" -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy. Naidu alleged that Jagan has no morals and sincerity. He said vote for Jagan would result in he being loyal to KCR and not to the people of the state, development would stop.

He said the TS government has been silent regarding the land given to Jagan by Hinduja's as part of quid pro quo. KCR says he has no interest in AP politics but then why did he send Rs 1 lakh crore to YSRCP, he questioned. The attack by the 'Jodi 3' is akin to the attack of US on Vietnam. Vietnam did not have enough army but the people turned into soldiers and forced US to go back.

There is no greater force than human force and it is that unity and spirit that needs to be shown here. Development should not stop midway. He called upon the people not to fall prey to Jaganmohan Reddy's plea to give him a chance to govern the state. If you commit the mistake in casting your vote, you will be turned into slaves of TRS, he added.

When the Jodi3 is attacking us, people should reject all such forces by using their vote power and see that TDP gets 150 plus seats for Assembly and 25 seats for Lok Sabha. The pride of Andhra and pride of Rayalaseema should be woken up and those who are trying to destroy the state should be taught a lesson. Vote for TDP and I will see that the Centre would at any cost fulfil the assurances given under the AP State Reorganisation Act, Naidu said.

Interestingly, 'fan' the election symbol of YSRCP has become a matter of exchange of words between the TDP and YSRCP. While the TDP says that the fan will not work in the state unless Modi gives current and KCR decides to switch it on, the YSRCP says that the fan was "Sudarshan Chakra," which would destroy the evil. Naidu asked the strong army of party workers to take the message of good governance to people and see that the party wins all the seats.

He also explained how Krishna water was brought to the district and all irrigation tanks were filled. He said that construction of 1 lakh farm ponds was a major feat achieved to boost groundwater table. Kia Motors became a reality because he brought water to Gollapalle reservoir and made water allocation to the factory.

He said that he gave water to Madakasira before he took water to Kuppam. Similarly, he said the TDP government would take all measures for speedy completion of the Kadapa steel plant. He reiterated that he would develop the district into an industrial and horticulture hub. Taking pot shots at Jagan for his alleged criminal acts, Naidu said his acts had sent bureaucrats to jail. He has not even spared his own uncle Y S Vivekananda Reddy. A perfect drama was enacted after his brutal murder.

Naidu said Federal Investigation Agency of USA had observed that criminals live with a sense of guilt. A criminal cannot suppress his conscience. This observation aptly applies to Jagan, the chief minister said and hence people should be careful, he cautioned.
