AP SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh writes to Chief Secretary over reorganisation of districts
Andhra Pradesh SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar gave a twist to Jagan Mohan Reddy by writing a letter to the Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney on the formation of new districts. The letter mentioned that the state was in the midst of a local body election process and it was not appropriate to reorganise districts until it was completed. He said that the election process of local bodies has been carried out on the basis of 13 districts. He said that there should be only 13 districts till the completion of the elections.
The letter mentioned that policy decision on districts should not be taken till the completion of the election process. The government has already started the process for the formation of new districts in the state. It was decided to form one Parliamentary constituency as one district, in addition to forming a tribal district and dividing it into a total of 26 districts.
On the other hand, there is a campaign that 32 districts will be formed. Special committees are being set up to study the reorganisation of districts. At the same time it became interesting SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar writing letter to chief secretary Nilam Sawhney.
