AP SEC terminates election commission Joint Director from duties for going on medical leave
The Andhra Pradesh SEC has taken disciplinary action against the Joint Director of the AP Election Commission. GV Sai Prasad has been accused of going on leave for 30 days and influencing other employees to go on leave as well.
The SEC has said that the Election Commission considers it undisciplined and has taken steps to and fired Sai Prasad from his duties. SEC said that he could not perform his duties directly or indirectly in the government services. The SEC has issued orders removing Saiprasad from office under Article 243 Read with and Article 324.
It is learnt that the schedule for the Gram Panchayat elections has been announced in four phases. In this context, the SEC has directed that none of the senior employees of the Election Commission should take leave till the 9th of this month. But Sai Prasad, on the other hand, not only went on a 30-day leave but also affected other employees. It has shunted down as it was considered undisciplined.
