APG& B Corporation MD visits Sri City in Tirupati
Tirupati: The Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Greening and Beautification Corporation, (APG&BC) N Chandramohan Reddy has paid two-day visit to Sri City on Saturday and Sunday. Sri City's president (Operations) Satish Kamat briefed him about their afforestation efforts.
He said that the business city was built with the aim to develop a clean, green, breathe-easy environment 'to work and live-in', and it is the first large scale industrial development in the country progressing towards a carbon neutral status. He also added that Sri City is one of the first few green field cities in the country to achieve IGBC gold rating.
Appreciating the green initiatives Chandramohan Reddy suggested ways to enhance further greenery and beautification in Sri City and said that he would work out an action plan in this regard. He visited the nurseries, plantation and landscaping areas and the locations reserved for biodiversity.
Head, Landscaping & Horticulture Madhusudana Reddy has coordinated the visit. Thanking Chandramohan Reddy for his visit, Sri City MD Ravindra Sannareddy said that they are very close to reach the target of planting one million trees.
