APNHM signs MoU with ECHO India
Vijayawada (NTR District): Andhra Pradesh National Health Mission (NHM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO), India for strengthening the health system by conducting various capacity building initiatives of healthcare workers in the State.
Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare and NHM director J Nivas and ECHO India Associate Vice-President Dr Sandeep Bhalla participated in this programme at Mangalagiri on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sandeep Bhalla said that this is a milestone partnership, which will go a long way for helping various health programmes in getting impactful and tangible outcomes in AP and ECHO India will give virtual training freely on various health aspects for all health programmes.
Prior to this, the ECHO India team
met Medical, Health and Family Welfare Principal Secretary MT Krishna Babu. During the meeting, Krishna Babu assured that the Andhra Pradesh government is ready to support wholeheartedly for this landmark partnership as per the MoU. He felt happy to enter this MoU for strengthening the health system in AP.
NHM State Programme officer Dr LBSH Devi, ECHO Deputy Manager Deepa Jha and others were present on the occasion.
