APPCB takes up distribution of clay idols in Kakinada
Kakinada: Distribution of clay idols of Ganesha on the eve of Ganesh Chaturdi was taken up at Bhanugudi centre and Balaji Cheruvu junction on Sunday. The programme was organized under the aegis of East Godavari Pollution Control Board and Dharitri Rakshana Samiti.
Participating in the programme, District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy complimented both the APPCB and Dharitri Rakshana Samiti. He said that such effort of pollution control and environment protection was need of the hour. The Collector called upon the public to extend their cooperation also for environment protection activities.
APPCB executive engineer A Rama Rao Naidu also appealed to public to use Ganesh idols made of clay and celebrate a pollution-free Ganesha Festival. District Joint Collector Dr Lakshmisha, DRO Ch Sattibabu also participated.
