APPGECET begins smoothly

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University has taken all necessary steps to conduct the Andhra Pradesh Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (APPGECET)-2019 in a smooth manner, said Exam Convener P S Avadhani on Thursday at a media briefing on 'APPGECET- Set code release' held at Dr YVS Murthi Auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao said the online test would be held at 42 centres in 16 cities across Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad. He informed that nearly 26,758 candidates have registered for examination, which was being conducted for admissions into Andhra University and its affiliated colleges for M Tech and M Pharmacy courses.

He added that a total of 27,516 seats available in the state for these courses would be filled primarily by candidates who qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE -2019) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT-2019). The remaining seats in university and its affiliated colleges would be filled by the candidates who get qualified in APPGECET, he said.

APPGECET-2019 began on Thursday and would end on Saturday. It is being conducted in 13 different disciplines for three days in two sessions from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam results will be declared on May 9 and rank cards can be downloaded from May 14 onwards.
