APSRTC earns 1.29 cr revenue during Dasara

Rajamahendravaram: APSRTC East Godavari region has earned an income of Rs 1.29 crore during Dussehra festival from October 1 to 13 by operating services to various parts of the state. Amalapuram depot bagged first place and the Kakinada depot was in second place in earning the income.

As many as 491 special services were operated from nine depots such as Rajamahendravaram, Kakinada, Tuni, Eleswaram, Gokavaram, Ramachandrapuram, Ravulapalem, Razole and Amalapuram. These buses were operated to Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Bhadrachalam etc.

According to regional manager KS Brahmananda Reddy, during this festival season RTC buses travelled 3,42,840 kilometres. Amalapuram depot operated 83 buses covering 77,126 kilometres and earned an income of Rs 28,82,434 and Kakinada depot operated 83 buses covering 62,373 kilometres and earned an income of Rs 24,09,097.

The Gokavaram depot operated 46 buses covering 23,174 kilometres and earned an income of Rs 9,08,70. Rajamahendravaram depot operated 83 buses covering 51.602 kilometers and earned an income of Rs 18,46,601.

Meanwhile, Ravuylapalem depot operated 50 buses covering 30,812 km and earned an income of Rs 41,04, 760. Razole depot operated 37 buses covering 32,868 kilomeres and earned an income of Rs 13,98,179. Eleshwaram depot operated 51 buses covering 27,946 kilomteres and earned an income ofRs 9,866472.

Ramachandrapuram depot operated 14 buses covering 9,700 kilometres and earned an income of Rs 3,52,779 and Tuni depot oeprated 34 buses covering 27,340 kilometres and earned an income of Rs 11,67,857.

When compared to last year, income this year escalated with the efforts of employees. Regional manager Brahmananda Reddy appealed to the people to travel in RTC buses for safe journey.
