APSRTC services from Hyderabad deferred
With no permission from the government, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has postponed the bus services from Hyderabad.
Around 13,000 people have booked the tickets on spandana portal from Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts to go to their native places in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh state. The people also agreed to stay in the 14-day quarantine period after moving to AP. However, the government has not accorded the permission yet for operating the buses from Hyderabad due to which the APSRTC deferred the services.
The APSRTC officials said that they would announce the date and time of the journey after the government grants permission.
Meanwhile, secretariat employees who were struck in Hyderabad will be moved to AP in special RTC buses and they have to register on Spandana portal, said COVID control room officials. They also said that these employees are exempted from quarantine. COVID-19 tests will be conducted on these employees and are permitted to join the duties if they test negative for the virus.
