APSRTC to begin services from tomorrow, here are the rules
Andhra Pradesh: The government has reportedly decided to run RTC buses in Andhra Pradesh from Thursday and started the online booking. However, those who have registered the mobile number on the Spandana portal have been allowed to book a ticket on the APSRTC portal, which means, the government will only allow RTC buses for migrant labourers, students and vacationers trapped elsewhere in the first phase.
The buses are expected to run in the villages from the next phase, for which the dates are yet to be finalised. The government has issued guidelines regarding this and APSRTC has made provisions for booking tickets online. It was decided that the buses would only run from depot to depot and would have no halts in between. The service will be extended to 123 depots in a phased manner following the physical distance. In view of measures to control coronavirus, the APSRTC has decided to issue tickets online without bus conductors intervention for which it has set up ticket counters. The government also gave the green signal for the private transport system.
On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh government has made it clear that government employees should attend the duties from tomorrow. Employees of all the offices, including the secretariat, are directed to start the activities. However, it has given an exemption to the elderly and pregnant women from containment Zones to work from home.
