APSRTC to launch new app on August 1 for cashless transactions

In the wake of Coronavirus outbreak and increasing positive cases, the APSRTC is all set to launch a new app to promote cashless transactions. The APSRTC will launch a new application titled APSRTC Pratham App on August 1 to this extent, which will enable passengers to book the tickets for all buses right from super luxury services to Palle Velugu, Garuda and others through online.

According to RTC officials, the price of a bus ticket shall be reduced by five per cent provided if the passenger uses the app to book the ticket. APSRTC officials said that they have created a first-of-its-kind app to allow cashless transactions in view of the increasing coronavirus spread across the state. The APSRTC Official Website has also been upgraded.

Meanwhile, as per the latest media health bulletin released by the state government, 837 new Coronavirus cases reported in the last twenty-four hours in Andhra Pradesh taking the tally to 16,934 on Friday among the 38,898 samples tested. The cases include 789 local cases, 46 migrants, and two foreigners.
