APSRTC to run special services from Hyderabad to evacuate Andhra people to state
Andhra Pradesh: As per the reliable sources, the APSRTC is likely to run special buses to evacuate the people who have stayed in Hyderabad due to the lockdown. APRTC has announced that tickets will be issued after the passengers agreed to remain in the Quarantine Center of the respective district headquarters upon arrival. The authorities and the RTC Regional Managers of all districts have been instructed to make adequate arrangements.
It is learnt that Spandana program is set up to register, and as many as 13 thousand people applied. However, the Andhra Pradesh government will run special services for them. These buses board the passengers at Miyapur-Bolaram Crossroad, Kukatpalli Housing Board, and LB Nagar.
However, the Andhra Pradesh government is yet to announce this formally and is expected to run in the next two to three days. After Hyderabad, the government is contemplating to run bus services from Bangalore and Chennai to bring back the people stranded in those cities. The officials have made clear that there are no services for the people to travel from AP. However, it is said that the Police Department will issue E-Passes under the name of COVID-19 for those travelling on emergency services. The Andhra Pradesh DGP office said in a statement that those who want to go to other states could apply in the portal.
