APSSDC Chief Executive Officer says skill development goes online

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has reoriented its skill training programmes to online as necessitated after Covid nationwide lockdown.

Tadepalli: The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has reoriented its skill training programmes to online as necessitated after Covid nationwide lockdown.

A series of online skill development programmes for faculty and students as well as for youth are designed, Arja Srikanth, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the APSSDC said.

Srikanth said in a statement here on Saturday that so far, 3,700 students and 3,000 faculties have been trained on different technologies like Internet of Things (IoT), Android Application Development, Python Programming, Web Development using Django, Web designing using React JS, Data Science and Digital Engineering in Aerospace among others.

He said that APSSDC was happy to collaborate with Pythagoras Engineering Consultancy to conduct free virtual online programmes to the faculty which ultimately help to deliver high-end technological concepts to the students of the State.

For instance, he said, training on Finite Element Analysis approach for industrial applications using ANSYS was successfully completed for 195 faculties as of now.

The CEO said that there are a number of advantages of this programme like free sessions of 10 hours in virtual mode. Moreover, all the above courses are currently necessary and industry oriented. After the completion of course, they will be given course completion E-certificate by APSSDC.

He said that the streams of mechanical and civil are eligible to join these courses. "APSSDC would be announcing a series of online programmes benefiting the faculty, students & youth."
