APSSDC shifts to online skill development programmes

Tadepalli: The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has reoriented its skill training programmes to online as necessitated after Covid-19 national lockdown, said Dr Arja Srikanth, Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC.

He said in a statement here on Monday that a series of online skill development programmes for the faculty, students as well as for youth were designed and so far 10,000 students and 9,000 faculty members have been trained on different technologies.

Dr Srikanth recalled that APSSDC has associated with major industries like IBM (International Business Machines Corporation), Google, MathWorks, Facebook, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) among others to conduct free virtual online programmes for the faculty, the students and youth all over the State to improve technological skills and make them Job ready.

Referring to the courses offered, he said that GOAL, Digital Beti ,Digital Foundation, Junior Web Developer Customer Service representative, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Structural Analysis, Automotive Designs, Web Designing, Architecture Modeling, Android Application Design, AR/VR/MR, Drone Technology and others are presently available.

He said that the advantages of this programme include free sessions of 60-80 hours in virtual mode, all the courses are currently necessary and industry-oriented, after the completion of course, they will be given course completion E-certificate by APSSDC and the Industry.

Dr Srikanth announced that the APSSDC would be announcing a series of online programmes benefiting the faculty, students and unemployed Youth.
