AR constable commits suicide in Kakinada, condition critical
A 30-year-old constable attached to the Armed Reserve committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Kakinada. He has been admitted to the Government General Hospital in critical condition. According the police, A. Narasimha Varma is a constable and works as a guard in the Sub Treasury office at Kakinada.
Around 8.45 p.m. Thursday, the constable shot himself with his service rifle. Hearing the gun shot, office staff and colleagues rushed him to the Government General Hospital for treatment. He is said to be in a critical condition.
The District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi rushed the spot and observed the situation. Mr. Narasimha Varma joined in his service in 2012. He worked in Grey hounds from 2016-2019. The police said that the incident may occur accidentally , but not intentionally. One Town police registered a case and investigating the reasons behind him taking this extreme step.
