TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu alleged CM Jagan Mohan Reddy of speaking irresponsibly over the postponement of local body elections. Speaking to media held at TDP headquarters in Mangalgiri, he said the coronavirus had turned into a pandemic and it is the responsibility of government to take action at this crucial time.

Naidu asserted that as many as one lakh people are affected with virus and all the shops except medical shops were remained closed in China and Italy, which emphasises the severity of the virus. "How can government be reluctance on people's health when the countries like the US has allocated Rs 3.50 lakh crore London has cancelled local body elections as a result of this pandemic, " Naidu asked.

Responding to allegations levelled on State Election Commissioner, Chandrababu condemned them. Chandrababu recalled that all countries are warning that coronavirus is very dangerous.
