Arjas Steels to help youth get jobs
Tadipatri (Anantapur): Gerdau Steels India, re-christened as Arjas Steel, is running a skill development centre to train youngsters and make them employable in steel and automobile industries etc.
Those trained by Arjas can also get employment in Kia Autombiles. It has a team of skill development experts who are training fresh graduates into employable ones by upgrading their skills, according to Arjas Steels Managing Director Sridhar Krishna Murthy.
Sridhar told The Hans India that the company is planning to increase its production by 1 lakh tonnes and once that happens, the company will be able to generate jobs. Kia Autombiles and the ancillary industries to be set up would boost Arjas Steel's marketing prospects and thereby trigger further industrialisation of both Tadipatri and Penukonda.
Arjas is producing several steel products and catering to myriad customers. The steel-making capacity is to the order of 3 lakh tonnes per annum. At present, the company is producing 2.6 lakh tonnes of steel products.
Now with boosting of marketing prospects due to the arrival of Kia Motors, the plant capacity would in future be increased to 3.5 lakh tonnes.
