Army Jawan from Chittoor dies of severe cold wave in Jammu and Kashmir

In a tragic incident, Reddappa Naidu, 38, of Chittoor district, who was serving in the Jammu and Kashmir Army, died due to severe cold. Reddappa Naidu, son of couple Manchu Reddappa Naidu, Shantamma couple, hails from Gaddakindapalli village in Panapakam panchayat under Chandragiri mandal and has been serving in the military for the last 14 years.

On Saturday, Reddappa Naidu fell seriously ill due to extreme cold in Jammu and Kashmir while colleagues gave him first aid. He informed his superiors that his condition was deteriorating. He was later airlifted to hospital by helicopter, his family said. Reddappa Naidu survived with wife Reddamma, a son Satvik and a daughter Nishita.

The family was very much upset to hear the bitter news just few days after getting promotion of Reddappa Naidu for his 14 years of service in the Army. Family members said the body would reach Gaddakindapalli on Tuesday.
