Arrangements reviewed for Pydithalli festival in Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram: The municipal administration, revenue and police departments are coordinating with each other and undertaking various works to conduct the Pydithalli festival in a grand way. As part of it, the civic authorities are repairing the streetlights and filling the potholes on roads.

In-charge collector M Venkata Ramana Reddy and other officers are conducting a review meet over the arrangements every day and instructing the concerned officials to speed up the works.

The government is organising Vizianagaram Utsavalu on October 12 and 13 to create festive mood among people as the popular Pydithalli festival is going to be held on October 14 and 15.

On October 14, Tolellu ceremony will be organised and on October 15, the main programme of Sirimanu procession will be organised. As part of Vizianagaram Utsavalu, various cultural programs are being organised here.

Vizianagaram Fort, Music College, Sanskrit College and Ananda Gajapathi Auditorium are the main venues for hosting the cultural events. The officials decked up these venues with lights and arranging all amenities to host cultural programmes, flower show, painting competitions and short-film competitions.

In-charge collector M Venkataramana Reddy on Friday visited the venues along with concerned officers and gave necessary instructions in this regard.
