Arup Goswami takes oath a new Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court 

Justice Arup Goswami was on Wednesday sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan administered the oath of office by Justice Goswami. The sworn-in event was held at Tummalapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada.

CM YS Jagan along with CJ Arup Kumar Goswami and Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan attended the oathing ceremony. Later, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy left Tummalapalli Kalakshetra for his residence in Tadepalli. The event was attended by several judges, MPs, MLAs, lawyers and senior officials of the state, including Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Chief Secretary of the state Adityanath Das.

Justice Arup Goswami was transferred to Andhra Pradesh in the reshuffle of chief justices and judges. He served as Sikkim High Court CJ while JK Maheshwari, who served as Andhra Pradesh High Court CJ, has transferred as Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court.
