Aspirants in dilemma over tickets
Visakhapatnam: The ticket aspirants from both the YSRCP and TDP are in dilemma as TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not announce candidatures for five assembly segments including Pendurty, Gajuwaka, Chodavaram, Madugula and Bheemili.
Though the party cadre expected Pendurty ticket to sitting MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murty, the TDP chief still continuing suspense. Gajuwaka sitting MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao name is under active consideration for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha segment.
However, cine hero and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna's second son-in-law and GITAM University president M Sri Bharath is seeking the ticket and intensified his trails, according to the party sources. The sources said though Sri Bharath is seeking Lok Sabha ticket, his candidature may be considered for Gajuwaka Assembly constituency.
Meanwhile, the MLA and MP aspirants in the YSRCP are in confusion as the party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy not even assuring tickets to anyone so far. With the sudden demise of Y S Vivekananda Reddy, it seems that Jagan may postpone the announcement of candidates list from March 16 to March 18.
"The candidates for 142 assembly constituencies and 15 Lok Sabha segments have already been decided. However, with the announcement of TDP contestants, the party president may change the names of some candidatures" said one of the senior leader.
