Atti Varadar setting, sand art of Vishnu on Garuda to be big draw in Tirupati
Tirupati: The setting of Atti Varadaraja Swamy of Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu and the sand art image of Garuda Gamana Govinda are going to be special attractions during annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala this year.
Every year, the Garden wing of TTD comes out with unique mythological concepts for its exhibition which act as a cynosure for visiting pilgrims.Deputy Director, Garden Department Srinivas said the recently organised mega religious event of Atti Varadaraja Swamy in Kanchi attracted the attention of devotees at global level.
So, they have planned to arrange three settings of the postures of the deity, he said. While the sand art is conceptualised on "Garuda Gamana Govinda" with Maha Vishnu sitting on His favourite carrier Garuda.
The famous Saikat Art sisters from Bengaluru Nanjundaswy Gowri and Neelambika worked for two days to make the image which will be opened on the first day of Brahmotsavam, on Monday, Srinivas added.
