Awareness programme on GST taxes held
Ongole: The Brilliant Computers Institute organized a free awareness camp on the GST and taxes newly including in it for the Tally, SAP and other accounting packages students, on Sunday. A senior chartered accountant from Guntur, Haranatha Babu,participated as the resource person and said that though the GST was introduced in India for over a year, a large number of the merchants, accountants and students of commerce and MBA does not have required knowledge on it. He said that the merchants should have a minimum knowledge of taxes regarding their business.
He explained to the students about the new taxes being included in the GST and said that the workshop will be helpful to the students and merchants. He opined that the merchants should have knowledge on Tally and the big businessmen on SAP so that they know about their accounts more transparently. He appreciated the Brilliant Computer Education chairman Dr. Shaik Nyamatulla Basha and requested him to organize similar workshop in future also.
Nyamatulla Basha said that having knowledge on GST has become a mandatory to all nowadays and said that the workshop is organized as part of their series of free programs on each Sunday. He said that the students from all over the district are welcome to attend the program. The institute executive chairperson Dr. Shaik Tahera, JCI Ongole Brilliants secretary Sk Abdul Rehman, and other staff also participated in the program.
