Awareness rally held on healthy lifestyle, good habits in Tirupati
Tirupati: To educate people on healthy lifestyle, an awareness rally was held from Ruia Hospital to SVIMS Hospital in Tirupati on Sunday under Ayushman Bharat Pakhwara. Additional DM&HO (AIDS and Leprosy) Dr C Aruna Sulochana Devi led the rally.
ASHA volunteers, Vaidya Mithras, private hospital staff, Mangalam and Damineedu PHC staff and others participated in the rally and raised slogans on the importance of good health, need for doing yoga, balanced diet and other aspects.
They took oath at SVIMS hospital circle at the end of the rally that they will ensure good health for people through health and wellness centres. Proper tests will be conducted on pregnant women, vaccination schedule will be followed strictly and help in maintaining good sanitation to prevent people from non-communicable diseases.
They also swore to create awareness on diabetes, blood pressure, importance of maintaining physical and mental health through fit India programme and campaign on the evil effects of alcohol and smoking.
District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Ramesh Babu, District Immunisation Officer Dr Hanumantha Rao, Dr Rama Devi, Dr A Nirmalamma, Dr Payrol Yadav, Dr Bala Anjaneyulu and others participated in the programme.
