Azim Premji Foundation offers 100 crore for ZBNF: CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Amaravati: Members of Azim Premji Foundation met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Secretariat here on Friday offering cooperation and financial help for the zero-based natural farming (ZBNF).

The Foundation expressed readiness to extend Rs100 crore in the next five years for the ZBNF and to provide necessary technical knowhow. Chief Minister informed the team that necessary guidelines have to be prepared for the implementation of the natural farming. He also said that the government was ready to provide organic fertilisers on subsidy to the natural farming.

Jagan Mohan Reddy further said that the government had already taken up several welfare measures for the farmers. ``Laboratories will be set up for testing the seed, fertilisers, pesticides before distributing them to the farmers," he said.

Anand Viswanathan , CEO of the Foundation, members of the foundation, Agriculture Minister Kanna Babu, Principal Secretary Madhusudan Reddy, Agriculture Commissioner Vijay Kumar and others were present.
