Bajrang Jute Mill workers' woes to be solved soon: Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao
Vijayawada: The Jagan Mohan Reddy administration is taking initiative to solve the long-standing problems of the workers of Bhajarang Jute Mill in Guntur district, said minister for endowments Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao while addressing the high-level meeting held at his camp office here on Saturday.
The minister said that the government is determined to solve their problems impartially by consulting all the stakeholders without politicising the issue.
He said that the previous TDP government neglected the problems of the jute mill workers which resulted in gross injustice to them. Following the request of the mill workers, the government has taken initiative.
He recalled Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed a high-level committee with five members to study the problem and the committee had held parleys with the jute mill management and the workers in addition to the district collector and other officials concerned.
The committee was instructed to file the report to the government soon.
MLAs Ambati Rambabu and Maddala Giri, MLCs Lakshmana Rao and Lella Appi Reddy, district collector Samuel Anand Kumar, labour department joint secretary Patel, A Rani, Malleswara Kumar, Asha Rani, officials of the industries department and union leaders were present.
