Bank of India ATM gutted in fire at Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Fire broke out at Bank of India ATM centre in a commercial complex at Benz Circle here on Thursday morning.

All the three ATM dispensing machines at the centre with cash were gutted in the fire accident.

On receiving the information about the fire accident, the fire fighters swung into action and doused the flames in the ATM centre.

According to sources, the main cause of the fire accident was short circuit. A transformer adjacent to the ATM centre was also gutted in the flames.

All the three ATM dispensing machines were badly gutted in the fire and the exact amount of cash turned into ashes in the accident would be known after the people managing the ATMs go through the details of the transactions.
