Be prepared to face calamities

Vizianagaram: United Nations Development Programme officer K Venkata Ratnam suggested the public to prepare themselves to face any natural calamities like cyclones. Participating in a training programme at Kurupam on Thursday, he advised the tribal youth to be braced up for all precautionary arrangements to reduce the loss of life and damage to properties during calamities.

"Ours is a coastal district and has more possibilities of facing cyclones. The youth who trained in rescue and restoration works should help their locals," he said.
