Bhimavaram: Freshers told to strive to achieve higher goals
Bhimavaram: The newly admitted students should utilise the opportunities offered by the SRKR Engineering College to achieve greater heights in life, said college principal Dr M Jagapati Raju while addressing the newly admitted students through EAMCET counselling and their parents on the college premises here on Wednesday.
The principal said that he complimented the students opting for the college in the first counselling filling all the seats. He reminded the students that the college has various facilities including technology centre, digital library, general computer centre and research centres in all the engineering streams. He appealed to them to utilise all these facilities.
College president SagiPrasada Raju and secretary and correspondent SagiVithalRanga Raju expressed happiness that the merit students from all over the State has chosen the college.
VithalRanga Raju said that the new engineering education policy suggested that the students should mandatorily undergo internship, practical training and study the latest technology.
He informed the students that many of the senior students have founded start-up companies. They have even won many laurels in the national-level hackathon competitions.
About 800 students secured plum jobs in the campus placements. The new students should also strive to follow in their footsteps, he said.
