Biswa Bhushan Harichandran appointed as Andhra Pradesh new governor

BJP senior leader Biswa Bhushan Harichandran has been appointed as Andhra Pradesh governor by the president Ramnath Kovind.

The 84-year-old leader was elected to Odisha assmebly for the five times from Bhubaneshwar and Chilika. He also served as a former law minister in BJD-BJP government in Odisha in 2004.

He ventured into politics in 1971 by joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Currently, ESL Narasimhan is serving as the governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Narasimhan who was appointed as the governor of united Andhra Pradesh has continued as the governor of both the Telugu states after bifurcation.
