BJP-JSP demands TTD Board to stop selling Lord's properties, stages hunger strike
Amaravati: Lambasting both AP government and members of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board, the BJP and Jana Sena alliance stated that selling of the properties of Lord Sri Venkateswara will be an insult to the devotees and demanded to withdraw the decision immediately. Reacting on the government's claim that they withdrew the proposal of the previous government, BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana said that the YSRCP government was misleading public. He maintained that this is a direct offence on the Hindu temples by the state government.
Kanna staged a hunger strike at his residence along with his party leaders and Jana Sena leaders on Tuesday, as part of their protest call against the YSRCP government on the proposed sale of TTD properties.
The two parties leaders and cadre are staging protests at their respective areas across the state today.
