BJP leaders request Center to constitute CBI court in Andhra Pradesh

Update: 2019-12-12 17:34 IST

It seems BJP is going to give a big shock to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. There are allegations of corruption on AP CM Jagan. He had earlier attended a CBI court in Hyderabad in the inappropriate assets case. However, after he became the chief minister, he approached the court seeking to exempt him from personal attendance. However, the CBI court said no. Jagan approached the High Court over this. The case is currently in court.

However, several BJP legal cell representatives, led by BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao, have met Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, demanding the creation of a CBI court in Vijayawada.

After the partition of Andhra Pradesh, the CBI had assigned the court to Vijayawada, but it has not started yet. In that letter to Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, they asked to open a CBI court in Vijayawada - Guntur.
