BJP protest against fare hike, stages dharna in Tirupati

Tirupati: The government's decision to increase RTC bus fares has been drawing huge criticism from various quarters. BJP cadre has organised a dharna before RTC central bus station in Tirupati on Monday in which its senior leaders B Chandra Reddy, G Bhanuprakash Reddy, S Sreenivas, P Bhaskar, Varaprasad and others took part.

They alleged that the government has been making Andhra Pradesh aa 'Andhakara' Pradesh ever since it took over rhe reins of power. With no development works in the state for the past six months the people have been facing several problems because of the government's lopsided policies.

Ignoring his assurance during Padayatra, the CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to increase RTC prices which will have unbearable burden on the people to the tune of Rs.700 crores. They demanded the government to immediately withdraw it's a decision or else BJP will take up state wide agitation.
