BJP robbing public to benefit corporate people: CPM leader
Eluru: CPM state executive committee member M Sitaram alleged that the BJP government at Centre was robbing the common man to benefit the big industrialists and the Multi National Corporations.
Participating in a seminar organized by the party city unit as part of nationwide agitation to protest 'anti-people' policies of the Prime Minister Modi government, Sitaram informed the gathering that the BJP, after coming back to power for the second time, offered tax concessions to the tune of Rs 1.4 lakh crore to the corporate giants.
On account of the faulty policies of the BJP led NDA government at the Centre, about 6.8 lakh industries were closed down since the BJP came to power. The farmers were not getting remunerative price, the working class were denied their minimum wages, the unemployed were not getting any doles, he added.
The seminar passed a resolution introduced by city unit secretary P Kishore to make success 'rasta roko' proposed in the city on Wednesday.
