BJP steps up campaign in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) intensified its election campaign in the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. Former Union minister D Purandeswari is contesting as MP from this constituency while sitting MLA P Vishnukumar Raju is contesting from Visakhapatnam North Assembly segment. Purandeswari had already completed one round of electioneering in the Lok Sabha constituency.
Purandeswari and Vishnu Kumar Raju conducted roadshows in the city from Jayabheri Showroom towards Sitammadhara Rythu Bazaar, Gurudwara (APSCB Office), NRI Hospital, Balayya Sastri Layout, Akkayapalem Narasimha Nagar Rythu Bazaar, Port Stadium, Kailasapuram Quarters, NGOs Colony, Murali Nagar and Madhavadhara areas.
Addressing the gathering, Purandeswari appealed the voters to give a mandate for BJP parliament and assembly constituencies for coming General elections. She explained the central government priorities and also revealed about the sanction of funds to the state in the past five years. Vishnu Kumar Raju assured the people that he would ensure zero corruption in the works in the north constituency, if elected again.
He claimed that during the past five years he served to the people without having any vested interests and attended all the issues in the segment. Party senior leaders SVS Prakash Reddy, K Pavani, Dr.Suresh Somayajulu, M Parasurama Raju, Dhaanesh, Shankar Rao, Raj Bahadoor Shivaji and others were present.
