'BJP win must for development'
Guntur: BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana said that development is possible with the BJP government at the Centre. He was addressing a meeting of Shakti Kendra Pramukhs in Narasaraopet in the district on Monday.
Lakshminarayana alleged that corruption is rampant under the TDP government and
irregularities were committed in construction of toilets in the state.
He criticised that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu assured Special Category Status (SCS) to state but later agreed to take Special Package. Now he is demanding SCS for deriving a political mileage in the coming elections, he said and warned that the voters will teach a lesson to him.
The state BJP president alleged that Naidu had failed to fulfil his elections promises also.
He reminded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled almost all the elections promises and extending cooperation for the development of the state.
The Centre is extending support for the construction of the Polavaram project and granted separate railway zone and gave 10 per cent reservations to the economically backward castes, he said and reminded the Centre sanctioned several education institutions to the state.
He alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu is labelling the Central government's schemes as his own schemes.
Urging the cadres to propagate the welfare schemes being implemented by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government, Lakshminarayana said that in order to continue development in the country, there is a need to return Modi for another term.
BJP state vice-president T Nagabhushanam, district president Nallabotu Venkata Rao was also among those participated in the meeting.
