BJP's Purandeswari promises Viswapatnam
Visakhapatnam: After making a significant contribution to develop Visakhapatnam through a slew of initiatives, Daggubati Purandeswari contesting from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat on the BJP ticket, has said that concrete efforts would be made to improve the city as 'Viswapatanam.'
Addressing media here on Sunday, Purandeswari appealed to people to elect the right leader for the country who would improve their standard of living and develop the nation on all fronts. Recalling her efforts made as Union Minister to address decade-old issues of the city by leading all-party delegation and taking up the issues to the notice of the concerned ministers at the Centre, Purandeswari said, "Be it the improved air connectivity, the new railway zone, beautification of beach, expansion plans of Anandapuram-Anakapalle National Highway, proposal of Visakhapatnam-Araku Vistadome coach, my contribution in negotiating with the concerned ministers played a key role in developing Visakhapatnam."
Hailing some of the bold decisions made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi such as the demonetisation, GST and launch of surgical strikes on terror camps across the LoC in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, she said the Prime Minister took concrete efforts in safeguarding the honour of the nation and strengthening global ties.
"Under the decisive and able leadership of Prime Minister Modi at the Centre, the nation will not only continue to be corrupt-free but also makes rapid strides in building its image further," she added.
Taking a dig at the TDP's Visakhapatnam North constituency candidate Ganta Srinivasa Rao, sitting MLA from the same segment P Vishnu Kumar Raju alleged that the HRD Minister was known for his corrupt practices.
