Blood donation camp organised at INS Eksila in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: A blood donation camp was organised at INS Eksila, Visakhapatnam on Friday. Surg Rear Adm Sheila S Mathai, Command Medical officer, Eastern Naval Command inaugurated the camp.

The donation of blood was a noble cause and assumes significance in view requirement of platelets and blood in cases of dengue and other ailments, he said. The camp received a huge response, besides 54 enthusiastic donors from Eksila, SBC and IN Ships Ranvir and Sahyadri donated blood . Units of blood were handed over to the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Bank, Visakhapatnam which was associated with the camp.
