Blood donation camp organised in Kakinada

Kakinada: United Port Services Private Limited organized a blood donation camp on the occasion of Kakinada Sea Ports proprietor's 61st birthday celebrations here on Thursday. The United Port Services Private Limited in-charge general manager YV Subrahmanyam inaugurated the blood donation camp and said that everyone should donate blood and save lives of others.

The Rotary Golden Jubilee Club collected 99 units of blood through Rotary Blood Bank at this blood donation camp. The club president Dr Satish said that there was no alternative for blood.

Keeping in view the need for blood to society, Rotary Blood Bank was set up 23 years ago and now the blood bank is serving for coastal districts people. Voluntary Blood Donation Project chairman MV Rao said that the Sea Ports company was serving for development of the state as well Kakinada city.

The Club secretary Ajay Reddy, treasurer N Machareddy, Sathi Ravireddy, Avala Murthy, Blood Bank medical officer Dr Kamaraju, I Saibabu, P Chiranjeevi Reddy and others were present.
