Braving heat, voters exercise franchise
Rajamahendravaram: Polling commenced slowly from 7 am and later at 1 pm it increased because of heavy turnout of youth, new voters and women. Though the temperature is 40 degrees Celsius, the voters exercised their franchise with patience.
Rajamahendravaram Urban YSRCP MLA candidate Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao cast his vote in training college. While TDP MLA candidate Adireddy Bhavani exercised her franchise in AKC college, BJP MLA candidate Bommula Dutt exercised his vote at municipal school and Jana Sena Party candidate Atti Satyanarayana cast his vote in municipal school.
Meanwhile, TDP MP candidate Maganti Roopa, sitting MP Maganti Murali Mohan, Rural MLA candidate Gorantla cast their votes in municipal high school at Prakasan Nagar. YSRCP MP candidate Margani Bharat Ram and BJP MP contestant P Satya Gopinadh exercised their franchise at Sadanam school and BVM school respectively and JSP MP candidate Dr Akula Satyanarayana cast his vote in municipal school. Later, they went round the polling stations and observed the polling percentage and they opined that they will win in the elections.
