Breaking: Schools to reopen on August 3 in Andhra Pradesh

With the impact of coronavirus in the country, there is no clarity on when the educational institutions would reopen. The centre has also announced the closure of educational institutions in their guidelines. However, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan has clarified when the schools will reopen in June. He made several key comments on the subject in his review with the officials on Tuesday. He ordered the authorities to open schools on August 3 as the 15,715 schools undergoing the first phase of development works under Nadu-Nedu needs to be completed.

"We have to provide 9 types of facilities in schools and Rs 456 crore fund has been released in this regard," CM Jagan told the officials. He said that by the end of July all schools would have to complete the construction works and ensure that the supply of cement and sand for these works without difficulty.

As the tenth class exams are currently pending in the state and were decided to hold them in July, the AP government seems to have decided to open the schools in August after concluding all examinations.
