Burglar duo held, articles worth 1.65 lakh recovered in Chirala

Chirala: The Chirala police arrested a two-member gang of burglars, who breaks into houses and decamped with valuables in them, on Sunday.

The Chirala DSP Jayarama Subba Reddy announced that the local police have increased their vigil in the town as the burglaries and thefts are increased for a while in the town. He said that the Town-II police have arrested two people, Neelambaram and Vinay of Perala for involving in a number of burglaries.

He said that they were involved in the thefts for want of easy money and are absconding from the police for a while. He said that the Two-Town police hatched a plan to arrest the duo and was successful in it.

The police recovered 10 mobile phones, laptop, LED TV, watches and silver articles worth to a total of Rs 1.65 lakh from the arrested. DSP Jayarama Subba Reddy appreciated the Town II police and presented rewards to them.
